Hi! I'm a second year Computer Science & Engineering graduate student here at the University of Michigan. Briefly, my research interests include artificial intelligence, machine learning, cognitive modelling and just generally getting computers to act (be?) a little bit smarter. I'm currently working with Randy Jones and John Laird in the Soar Group here at the University of Michigan's Artificial Intelligence Lab. I'm trying to simulate and explain some of the gradual changes in problem solving strategies that appear in human performance with a system that is based in the Soar artificial intelligence architecture. For all the gory details, click here.
Prior to attending graduate school here at the University of Michigan, I was an independent consultant working in San Francisco specializing in client/server system design and implementation. Some of my clients included Bechtel Corporation, Centura Software (formerly Gupta Corporation), Terrace Systems Corporation, and Paradigm Health Corporation. If you're interested in knowing more about my professional experience, please take a look at my resume.
