“The stage, she is the God-damndest woman you ever saw.” - N.D.

Neil

It was indeed a Hot August Night tonight, and SuperDiamond rocked.

Wednesday, August 13.

I've been trying to build guile-1.6.4 on my OS/X machine. (Is it just me, or are the GNU mirrors having a lot of trouble, lately? I had to pull it from CVS.) It doesn't seem to want to build out of the box, but I've made some headway. It seems I need to build with SED=sed in the environment, or I die trying to run libtool in guile/libguile-ltdl. Also, I've found this post, which should get me past the problem I was seeing in gc_os_dep.c.

I've been a bit distracted from my iPhoto hackery, but I was actually able to get an “exporter” plugin marginally limping along. I'll try to wrap it up and post something soon.

In other news, my bubble was burst with respect to “Jobster”, this idea I had about a networking site. Seems that I'm not the first one to think of it. Oh well. In that vein, I've been getting an inordinate (three in one day!) number of “new friends” requests on Friendster. Zany.

I resigned from AOL yesterday: my last day is Friday. After six years, “it was time”.
